Timber Treatment

We have on-site treatment facilities available to treat sawn timber. The treatment used is CCB1 manufactured by Protek Products carried out to BS5268:Part 5 / BS5589 in our pressure impregnation tanks.

What is CCB1?

This product is a water-based wood preservative containing the oxides of copper, chromium and boric acid (CCB1).

This treatment has the following properties:

Effective against wood destroying fungi
Protection against wood boring insects
Can be painted / stained as if untreated
Can be glued as if it were untreated

This treatment provides long term protection and leaves the timber with a characteristic grey/green appearance.
